Hey long time no see!
 I quite left this place rotting a bit ..sorry! Spent the last months working hard on different projects, and my showreel.
Time for an update with my most recent design done for a short, and some character explorations I did a month ago for a tv series. Hopefully I'll be able to show you the final designs soon enough.

Supposed "warm up" doodle, put took much more time than they should for some unplanned training purposes. Nothing original in here ...

 Anyways examples of what I could see around here. I guess I'm one of them anyway, and I'm dealing with it !

Surprise ! Digital 2013

Just a morning warm up doodle, that turned into a quick paint. She looks like a mix of my character P. and my Sexy Jambon illustration . And made me thought of a surprise photo , hence the frame .
Doing daily doodles now, I'll update the blog each and every day !

For now on, I'm keeping my "1 sketch a day" resolution pretty well. Here are the pages from 01/11 to 01/13 .. and they are quite full ! Not my best though , but I'm so glad to be able to get back to a healthy drawing routine! Letting the lines flow !

"Military" was a topic given on the 11th ..and went on with it until today! Not my usual topic and I'm glad Poypoy gave it to me. I'll surely give it a try more often! Military was fun to try, and that soldier girl came out from nowhere but seems to have some guts! Named her G.I. Jane !

Pour le moment la résolution du "1 croquis par jour" tiens bien la route! Voilà donc les pages du 11 au 13 ... plutôt remplies! Loin d'être les meilleures ou des illustrations "complètes" elles ont le mérite de me ramener à un rythme de dessin qui fait du bien ! On lâche les lignes!

Le thème "militaire" m'a été lancé par Poypoy , et j'avoue avoir bien aimer tester ca. Ca me sort de mes pinups et thèmes rétro de prédilections. Je pense bien gratter encore quelques pages de soldiers un de ses 4. Surtout qu'est sorti de nul part cette nana soldat qui a l'air d'en avoir! On la surnommera du coup G.I. Jane !

Happy new Year 2013 to all of you!

In order to start this brand new year , I'll try to stick to a simple resolution : drawing a page a day and post it here with my other stuff ... My close friends, significant other and watching Wreck-it ralph and other animated movies brought me back to drawing ! At least!

Sexy Jambon !?!?

Two days ago I had the good surprise to find that most of the flux coming to my blog came from a nice article about me !

But, I also made a very, very, very disturbing discovery ... 

Some of the google search that led people to my blog was ... " Sexy Ham" ( "sexy jambon" in french)

It made me laughed hard!

Because I couldn't see the link between sexy ham & my art, it felt very disturbing , and I mentally pictured it in a way that was stucked in my mind for days ...

Finally, I decided that people WOULD reach my blog by asking google about sexy ham.. for a good reason!

Il y a quelques jours j'ai eu la très bonne surprise de découvrir qu'une partie du traffic redirigé vers mon blog venait d'un article sympa sur moi et mon travail ( enfin plutôt sur mon travail, c'est plus intéressant !) 

Je n'étais pas du tout au courant et ca m'a a la fois surpris et gêné ( mais en bien .. enfin .. c'est vraiment super !). Voilà un lien vers l'article sur Graphiste-world.com

Et comme une surprise ne vient pas seule, j'ai aussi découvert qu'une recherche sacrément louche avait emmener quelques personnes ici .... " Jambon sexy" 

Alors autant les autres je les comprends ( genre derby pin up , ou encore catsuit etc ...)

Je sais pas si le plus dérangeant c'est "jambon" ou le fait qu'il soit sexy ... !!

Toujours est il que ca m'a bien fait marré, et j'ai décidé de donner une bonne raison à cette recherche Google d'aboutir ici !

Just a sunday warm up, it's been a while I've not done something quick & without any pressure.

I guess that could be her after the events of the short. Somehow.

Might draw her some more, she feels so familiar to me now!

Petit échauffement du dimanche, sans trop de prise de tête. J'ai plein de projets en tête et je ne sais pas trop par ou démarrer ... Alors entre deux ébauches sur P*Up, revoilà un personnage qui m'est très familier. Une vieille connaissance même , July , de notre court métrage Free Wheel ( lien vers le site )

Voilà à quoi elle pourrait ressembler quelque temps après les évènements du film ... peut-être.

Il est probable qu'elle revienne sous le crayon de temps en temps, je commence à bien la connaitre!

Star Wars #2/2

Second half of the star wars challenge !
This time, my take on Asajj Ventress . It's not the exact design since I've had a hard time getting same looking reference , so I did my own mix.
Got more trouble to capture her than Maul, and I guess I do prefer the first half anyway !

Vu qu'aucune de mes images de références ne se ressemblaient, j'ai pris le parti de faire un mix, désolé pour les fans des designs originaux/officiels & co.

Elle m'a donné plus de mal que dark maul la bougresse, et je pense que je me suis plus éclaté sur le défi 1, mais bon , c'est fait et j'en suis pas mécontent ! Enfin une nana pas sexy et sympa sur mon blog, Hurray!

Up & Portfolio

Hey everyone!
 I've been really busy the last two months, but I can now say our graduation movie is done!  A full year of work is coming to a nice end, and in a few hours the whole team is leaving for northern France, to our graduation jury ! So excited !


This will be a quick update to annouce I'll be back soon with a post nearly every two-three days, new pics , loads of sketches I've not scan yet! But for now let me show tell you my portfolio is finally done too! Right in time !

Salut à tous!


J'ai été pas mal occupé ces deux derniers mois, mais je peux maintenant dire que notre film de diplôme est fini! Une année complète de travail qui se conclu d'une manière plutôt sympa, and dans quelques heures toute l'équipe sera sur le départ pour Valenciennes pour notre jury de fin d'étude!
L'excitation monte!


Ce sera juste une update rapidre pour annoncer que je vais remettre ce blog à jour, avec j'espère bien, une illus tout les deux -trois jours, pas mal de sketchs en retard à scanner, et divers trucs que je compte faire! Mais pour maintenant laisser moi vous invitez à jeter un oeil à mon portfolio, enfin en ligne, dispo en cliquant sur l'image en début de post.


Et en attendant de revenir dans quelques jours, avec des bonnes nouvelles j'espère, quelques illustrations réalisées pour le film durant l'année, et un duo de pinups que j'apprécie particulièrement !

Pin-Ups

I've been doing lots of CG rendering and scene lighting for our last year movie recently, and testing & computer calculation are time-consuming. As I couldn't go on with my 10 illustration  project ( still 5 to go) , and haven't sketch on real paper for a long time ....
I went on with color pencils and .. pinups , as usual ! Beware , naked bits after the jump!

J'ai passer la plupart de mon temps dernièrement à lighter des scenes de notre film de fin de 5° année. Et les temps de rendus de test prenant pas mal de temps j'ai mis de côté mon projet de 10 illustrations " Sun Vibes" . J'ai profité des temps de rendu pour m'amuser avec quelques crayons de couleurs qui traînaient. Alors pour renouer avec le vrai papier , rien de mieux que quelques pin-ups un peu dénudées!

Deux speeds sans aucun rapport mais qui finalement côte à côté me donnent des idées de ce qui pourrait s'être dérouler . Tout ca parce que je n'ai pas fini les vraies illustrations que j'ai commencé, que je passe mes journées à peindre des textures et qu'il faut vraiment que je me remette au " au-moins-un-sketch-par-jour". Je ne tiens visiblement jamais mes bonnes résolutions.

Sinon oui, j'ai une obsession bizarre pour les motels .... et les diners . Et les pin-ups . Tant pis .

Two quickies without any coherent link between each others. Though putting them together give me some plot about what might have happened there with that girl. I should have finished instead some real pieces I've started but didn't have enough will for today, after spending most of my week brushing textures and CG shading. May got back to my "sketch-a-day"  routine soon , or at least should really urge me to do so .

True I got a weird obession about diners and motels. And pinu-ups . period.
