A tribute .. The Barber

After months of CG work, sketching and a very huge inspiration lack ( or should I say, this kind of emotionnaly-procrastinating- art block stuff ) , it seems  life events, and  especially the wonderful exhibition of Devin Crane's work at Gallery Arludik in Paris, brought back my will, inspiration . The flame is back !

So as a tribute to the wonderful fashion-meets-cartoon art of the talented Mr Crane, here is one of two pictures I've been working on, as my own take on sexy cartoon fashion-inspired artwork, and as some kind of tribute. Thanks for bringing back the passion !

Music Inspired

A bit of Florence + the Machine doesn't hurt, and Miss Welch is already such a character that I could not but get inspired .

A new Form of Coral

Tonight , some new coral species were unveiled .

I was working , and then I saw some photos of tonight show ...
My brain exploded ..
And that was part of it .


More seriously I was charmed by those aerial figure and at the time coral and sea flowers inspired, and though I didn't allow myself to work on that for more than an hour, I really wanted to put it out of my mind .


I guess I'll have to do more from this collection , really !

Time to go back to serious business!

Initially started as a floating head , and a model like girl , and turned into explosion , mercenaries and movie ad composition . FUN!
Thanx to my teammate William   for giving me the idea of turning the flying head girl into some Hi-tech spy device !

As a contest price , I was asked to "redesign" in my way , an Alice in wonderland like character .
I just went crazy on that , and took it as a modern twist with freaky fashion inside .

Maybe I'll do a whole collection around that topic of "tales" If i had time , one day .

       


Had fun wih that , Fake ad t-shirt , rabbit plushie head shoulders patchs ,  Lots of casio Baby-G watches , and keyhole pattern .
