Hey long time no see!
 I quite left this place rotting a bit ..sorry! Spent the last months working hard on different projects, and my showreel.
Time for an update with my most recent design done for a short, and some character explorations I did a month ago for a tv series. Hopefully I'll be able to show you the final designs soon enough.

Just a morning warm up doodle, that turned into a quick paint. She looks like a mix of my character P. and my Sexy Jambon illustration . And made me thought of a surprise photo , hence the frame .

A Man, A Blonde and Secret Schematics.

Classical, yet still effective ! 

Wanted to try new brushes, and go for something "color script"-like but not satisfied with it yet. May add two more at the end. Later I guess!  At least limited color palette works well. Took me more time than expected, I will have to train way more!

Classique mais efficace !

Une occasion de tester de nouvelles brushes et d'essayer une suite d'image un peu du genre "color script", mais pas encore convaincu par le résultat. Peut-être que j'ajouterais deux images pour clôturer cette série, mais pas de suite, je bloque sur une idée ! La palette très réduite de couleurs marche plutôt bien, et c'est dejà pas mal. Même si ca m'a pris tellement plus longtemps que j’espérais. Je vais devoir m’entraîner beaucoup plus!

Recent illustration done for fun , after 2 months lacking time to draw anything at all , keeping my hands busy on plates and meals as a waiter. Let face it I prefer keeping my hands on pencil and paper . Period.

By the way I'm open to any illustration commissions , and since my 2nd screen died , I'm saving up to get new stuff .

Pour l'instant j'essaye surtout de ne pas laisser  ce blog mourrir par manque d'update plus ou moins sérieuse .
En attendant après deux mois à tenir des plats et des plateaux , avec peu de temps pour illustrer , je dois bien me rendre à l'evidence : je préfère avoir les mains occupées sur des feuilles que dans les assiettes .
Voilà donc une autre image pour "P*Up!" d'ici a ce que j'arrive à sortir quelques pages ...

Just a quick update not to let this blog die ! I'm just really busy working 9hrs a day as a waiter ... Exhausting , walking miles in a day and having very little time left .. Or should I say no energy left around 11 pm when finishing work ...

Juste pour ne pas laisser ce blog sans nouveauté trop longtemps ! Voilà deux WIP de P* que j'espère terminer bientôt . pas facile quand je passe 9h par jour à "jouer" au serveur . Enfin surtout quand je suis à court d'énergie à 11h du soir après avoir fait des kilomètres dans une journée sans m'en rendre compte ! Allez , bientôt je finis ces deux là! 

Explosive Brotherhood

Don't ask me why , but it seems these days i'm in a explosive-stuff mood , and just need to do plain background and things getting blown out ! 

Been busy with CG shorts and stuff , and editing my 2010-11 demoreel (soon , soon) and didn't had much time to draw anything .Finally I spent some spare time on this piece from P*UP storyline showcasing two previously seen characters : Loretta and her brother Seamon. Don't trust them . They are the cause of pink ( ??) explosions ! 

 Comme il semblerait que j'ai un besoin immédiat d'explosions en tout genre sur fond de désert et de décor peu élaboré ... en voilà un.

Un peu occupé avec les courts métrages , finir mon demoreel et peu de temps pour dessiner . Mais j'ai réussi a terminer cette pièce basée sur P*UP mettant en avant deux personnages postés récemment : Loretta et son frère Seamon . Et une explosion rose . Oui.

Action ! Suspens !

THE ONE CAST

What started as a simple break from my work turned into a full cast board from my P*UP storyline. Really unexpected . I've been fooling around with the main characters for months , trying to keep the inital style ( style which triggered a huge style change for me) and at the same time twisting it to my current mood and drawn lines. Finally this popped out of my head . I'm really glad with it . I may have fixed the characters at least . Decided to throw some color on 'em.

Ce qui avait démarré comme un simple break et échauffement s'est transformé en planche complète du casting de mon projet P*UP. Assez innattendu . Après des mois d'essais, afin de conserver le style de départ ( qui avait été un vrai déclic chez moi) et l'adapter à ce qu'il est devenu à l'heure actuel, je pense avoir mis la main dessus . Du moins pour l'instant .  J'en suis assez satisfait et je n'ai pas resisté à l'envie d'y mettre une base de couleur , histoire de .

- L. aka Loretta : Her everlasting information seeker . Currently a low-rank secretary .

- Seamon : P.'s roommate and also  partner in crime . Loretta's older bro.

-J. : Ex-partner , now freelance bounty hunter. 

- B.B : coming from abroad , she's P nemesis . Nothing personal darling , just work.

Parti d'un croquis , une illus stryle fausse affiche rétro , dans un style proche de Mr Dart .
Je pense creuser ce style , j'apprécie vraiment . Pour la tenue j'ai rien inventé , tout est dans le titre ....
