Hard Metal, Vampires & Misc.

J'ai un peu déserté le navire ce dernier mois ( pleins de rebondissements, etc etc.) mais me revoilà avec une petite fournée de croquis des semaines passées. Au programme, de tout et de rien, des métalleux plus ou moins gras , et des vampires , plus ou moins kitsch!

( Du plus récent au plus vieux ).

PS: J'ai enfin branché mon scanner. Vos yeux auront moins mal ...

I've been away for a little while ( lots of things to deal with, events & such) but here I am again, with some new sketch pages done over a few weeks. Starting with random characters, hard rock/metal lovers and oh-so-cliché vampires! Sorted from newest to oldest.

For now on, I'm keeping my "1 sketch a day" resolution pretty well. Here are the pages from 01/11 to 01/13 .. and they are quite full ! Not my best though , but I'm so glad to be able to get back to a healthy drawing routine! Letting the lines flow !

"Military" was a topic given on the 11th ..and went on with it until today! Not my usual topic and I'm glad Poypoy gave it to me. I'll surely give it a try more often! Military was fun to try, and that soldier girl came out from nowhere but seems to have some guts! Named her G.I. Jane !

Pour le moment la résolution du "1 croquis par jour" tiens bien la route! Voilà donc les pages du 11 au 13 ... plutôt remplies! Loin d'être les meilleures ou des illustrations "complètes" elles ont le mérite de me ramener à un rythme de dessin qui fait du bien ! On lâche les lignes!

Le thème "militaire" m'a été lancé par Poypoy , et j'avoue avoir bien aimer tester ca. Ca me sort de mes pinups et thèmes rétro de prédilections. Je pense bien gratter encore quelques pages de soldiers un de ses 4. Surtout qu'est sorti de nul part cette nana soldat qui a l'air d'en avoir! On la surnommera du coup G.I. Jane !

In order to start this brand new year , I'll try to stick to a simple resolution : drawing a page a day and post it here with my other stuff ... My close friends, significant other and watching Wreck-it ralph and other animated movies brought me back to drawing ! At least!

Sexy Jambon !?!?

Two days ago I had the good surprise to find that most of the flux coming to my blog came from a nice article about me !

But, I also made a very, very, very disturbing discovery ... 

Some of the google search that led people to my blog was ... " Sexy Ham" ( "sexy jambon" in french)

It made me laughed hard!

Because I couldn't see the link between sexy ham & my art, it felt very disturbing , and I mentally pictured it in a way that was stucked in my mind for days ...

Finally, I decided that people WOULD reach my blog by asking google about sexy ham.. for a good reason!

Il y a quelques jours j'ai eu la très bonne surprise de découvrir qu'une partie du traffic redirigé vers mon blog venait d'un article sympa sur moi et mon travail ( enfin plutôt sur mon travail, c'est plus intéressant !) 

Je n'étais pas du tout au courant et ca m'a a la fois surpris et gêné ( mais en bien .. enfin .. c'est vraiment super !). Voilà un lien vers l'article sur Graphiste-world.com

Et comme une surprise ne vient pas seule, j'ai aussi découvert qu'une recherche sacrément louche avait emmener quelques personnes ici .... " Jambon sexy"

Je sais pas si le plus dérangeant c'est "jambon" ou le fait qu'il soit sexy ... !!

Toujours est il que ca m'a bien fait marré, et j'ai décidé de donner une bonne raison à cette recherche Google d'aboutir ici !

At least , holidays! Don't know how long it'll last, but though I'm searching for job it doesn't feel back to get some time for myself. Not really sketching or anything at the moment, still trying to figure out how to get a decent room for work now that i'm back at my parent's.... haaa, I hate feeling like a teenager! Yay first update of 2012 , cheers!

Got a 2 weeks break for holidays, away from work and our thesis movie. It took me a few days but finally managed to go back to pencils ( colored ones , just like kids) and start having a bit of fun with them .  
Here is a random selections of them , they got pretty nothing to do with each other, and really took  on the opportunity to do whatever I felt like doing . FREEEDDDOOOOMMM!

Après un petit break de 2 semaines, entre le foire gras, les divers alcools, et loin du projet de fin d'année, je me suis amusé avec des crayons de couleurs, comme un gamin .  
Rien de fantastique, mais plein de petit sketch rapidos , sans trop réfléchir et juste pour se détendre le poignet et se faire plaisir . FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOM!

Bear and the Bow

Même si je suis sur que tout le monde l'as déjà vu , une petite piqure de rappel pour le dernier teaser en date de Brave ( anciennement The Bear and the Bow , qui me semblait plus logique comme titre )

Maintenant que c'est fait, un petit speed aux markers histoire de m'échauffer avant du board , et du board et encore du board. Je ne suis pas fan des fanarts, mais pour une fois je cède à l'envie.

Eventhough i'm pretty sure everyone's has already been watching it like a billion times, I've shared Brave latest trailer once more. I'm not a sucker for each Pixar's movie but that one in particular seems to trigger unexpected envy and desire in me . God look at that hair. It screams awesome . And I do love scottish ( and irish and brit ) culture which may add to it .

Anyway here is a little fanart-warm up of the mainb character, done with markers, before gtting back to storyboard. Ah , storyboard you don't know how much I love and hate you at the same time.

Don't get me wrong, it ain't chicks on cars, or riding cars yet . And it has nothing to do with Pixar's Cars 2 ( which I'm not really waiting for ... not being a car- vehicle - mechanic fanboy ).

 Et pas des nanas sur des bagnoles ou conduisant des bagnoles non plus. Et rien à voir avec Cars 2 le prochain Pixar ( que je n'attend pas du tout , n'étant pas le genre à être fan de voiture, de caustiques , de carpaint et autres joyeusetés .. alors le tout mélangé à du james bond et de la compét.. mouais) 

Juste un dépouissérage du blog , faute de mieux , avec quelques sketches ( de nana) , et des trucs pas encore posté ici . Ô Joie!
