Pin-Ups

I've been doing lots of CG rendering and scene lighting for our last year movie recently, and testing & computer calculation are time-consuming. As I couldn't go on with my 10 illustration  project ( still 5 to go) , and haven't sketch on real paper for a long time ....
I went on with color pencils and .. pinups , as usual ! Beware , naked bits after the jump!

J'ai passer la plupart de mon temps dernièrement à lighter des scenes de notre film de fin de 5° année. Et les temps de rendus de test prenant pas mal de temps j'ai mis de côté mon projet de 10 illustrations " Sun Vibes" . J'ai profité des temps de rendu pour m'amuser avec quelques crayons de couleurs qui traînaient. Alors pour renouer avec le vrai papier , rien de mieux que quelques pin-ups un peu dénudées!

Exploring pool picturing, trying to deal with the water light and reflection , atmosphere. Not sure I handle it properly though , but I'm satisfied with it for now ... until I 'll change it obviously.
Kinda like the glamourous look that gal got !

Melting down

First guy in the serie, and it made me  dive into late 50's - 60's pictures of swimwear. Have you ever seen those jantzen ad of the time ? Most of them are quite daring and I was surprised by the designs of the swimsuits! And amazed by the art of Geroge Petty and Pete Hawley. Such an inspiring trip into the past .






Premier gars de la série, qui m'a fait me plonger dans une masse d'images de "plage" de la fin des 50's et des 60's. Dont une bonne partie était des pub "Jantzen", vous voyez le genre ? En tout cas j'ai été surpris par les design de l'époque, pas mal osés , que ca soit pour femmes, ou même pour hommes dans les années 60. J'ai découvert les boulots de George Petty and de Pete Hawley que je conseille à tout fan de rétro d'admirer au moins une fois.

Going on with this series, playing with lights and pastels color. Can't wait to see what the full serie will look like all together !




Je continue sur ma lancée, un plaisir de bosser avec des tons pastels et jouer avec les luminosités. Encore 7, et on verra ce que ca donne au grand complet !
